Build an issue tree for AI

1. Frame the question. Name the decision and its boundary or time frame. Avoid assuming the cause before you have examined the evidence.
2. Map the branches. A service launch needs separate questions about the customer problem, alternatives, delivery and economics. Each needs different evidence. Check for overlap and missing branches.
3. Investigate one. Choose a branch and give AI the sources it can use. Keep evidence, inference and unknowns separate. Ask for counter-evidence and the next check, then review the findings before making the overall decision.

Keep a short record of the branch, conclusion, confidence, evidence and next check. Bring that record into the next conversation.
